Lot of Vintage Navy Blue Black Cream White 1950s Fascinator Hats
This is a lot of 4 vintage 1950s fascinator hats with veils. They are in good condition over all with a little fading and discoloring on the white hat, which also has a hole in the veil. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more photos.
Although fascinators have been around since the 13th century, the use of the term 'fascinator' began in the 1990s when such headpieces became popular for wearing at weddings without ruining your lovely hairstyle or giving you a helmet head.
These days it can be worn for any occasion, but mostly formal. The only purpose of a fascinator is hair decoration. The fascinator always sits at an angle on the head as if perching on top of the well-groomed hair and complementing the look of the hair. A cross between a hair accessory and a cocktail hat, a fascinator with veil is also quite common.
All items are cleaned and kept in a smoke-free home. As with many vintage items, there may be slight spots or wear but anything major will be in description of item.
